Sound levels will be monitored by an accredited acoustic engineer to ensure sound meets the ‘The Environment Protection Act 2017 and the Environment Protection Regulations 2021’. We advise that the EPA regulations do mean music from the site will be audible; however, you should be able to hold normal conversations without being affected.
A directional sound system will be used to minimise the emission of sound to residential areas. In addition to the main event, sound checks will be made throughout the event day and the day prior. Timings of these will be updated in due course.
Please note: Sound checks will occur sporadically from 1:00pm – 8:00pm on Thursday 16 January and again on the morning of Friday 17 January. These sound checks will not exceed 5min at any one time and will test and calibrate sound levels before the event starts.

Attendees are being encouraged to use public transport to access these events. Traffic delays are likely and those driving through the area during these periods are encouraged to allow extra travel time where possible.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in place to manage traffic in and around Melbourne Showgrounds for the festival, both traffic controllers and variable message boards will be used. We expect traffic disruptions will occur on the day between the hours of 11.00 and 17.00 and 22:00 and 23:00
Melbourne Showgrounds work with local council, VicRoads and Victoria Police to keep these disruptions to a minimum.
